One of the members of The Hangover‘s Wolfpack, Bradley Cooper, is now sporting some ripped abs after filming his latest movie, The A-Team. So how exactly did Bradley Cooper sculpt his Hollywood six pack?
“I had to literally transform my body,” said Cooper, the 35 year old said of his six month body transformation in a recent interview with Details magazine. He also mentioned that his whole life he hasn’t always been considered so handsome and full of brute force.
“I never lived the life of ‘Oh, you’re so good-looking,’ ” Cooper explains. “People thought I was a girl when I was little, because I looked like a girl.” This is pretty crazy considering how many women completely fell in love with him after his part in The Hangover. When I would talk with chicks in my college classes they would tell me how in love they are with Bradley Cooper and how much they would love to be his.
It wasn’t all fun and games
For 6 months in preparation for his role as “Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck”, Cooper had limited his diet and even completely eliminated sugar, salt and flour in order to get his sexy midsection. In addition to the strict diet, Cooper also spent two hours a day with a personal trainer, working hard to pile on the muscle for his role.
Another secret that Cooper used to get in shape was spending his days in Vancouver, speed-hiking up a famous trail. The locals call this trail “The Grind” and it is 2,800 feet of mountainside and Cooper reports that he would knock the trek out in a little under 40 minutes.
“The man is a beast”, director Joe Carnahan said of Brad. Brad agrees with this and in a recent interview he said, “I was like, ‘This cannot be me-that’s the way I look?..It was so f***ing surreal, ’cause as a kid I only fantasized about looking that way.”
While on the Chelsea Lately show, Cooper talked about his move towards sobriety and how the choice of not drinking alcohol helped him get up early for the early AM workouts. In addition to this, he confessed he had to make certain sacrifices for his A-Team workout body.
“For the A-Team I had to get in crazy shape. But I still like to make sandwiches,” Cooper said on the show. “Bread really isn’t really a factor [when getting in shape]. So I used to take grapes and put an almond in between,” he said. Jokingly later adding, “Yeah, it was nuts. We got pretty crazy on the set of A-Team.”
